The Sacred Heights & Pine Valleys

Start your day at 4:00 AM for the desert-like terrain of the Tibetan Plateau. Reach Gurudongmar Lake (17,800 ft), one of the world's highest sacred lakes. After breakfast at Thangu, we drive to Lachung—a valley of snow peaks and dense pine forests.

Yumthang → Gangtok
